Un Elefante

Un Elefante is a game song that can be heard throughout many parts of Latin America. The game starts with children holding hands in a circle (representing the spider web), and one person (the first elephant) in the middle. The circle walks around the elephant in the middle. When the song calls for "otro elefante," the child in the middle quickly picks another elephant from the circle, and the song continues "Dos elfantes..." The two elephants in the middle hold hands and circle in the opposite direction as the outsite circle. Each new elephant in the middle picks the next elephant for the inside circle. The game finally ends in laughter when the outside circle can no langer hold hands around all the elephants in the middle - the spider web breaks!
